North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick has announced the hiring of John Charlton of Bowling Green as the furnace technician in the weatherization department.
North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick has announced the hiring of John Charlton, of Bowling Green, as the furnace technician in the weatherization department.
NECAC is a 12-county area not-for-profit social service, community health and public housing agency that contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate and administer self-sufficiency service programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population. The agency’s Central Administration Offices are located in Bowling Green, with NECAC Service Centers operated in each county.
In his new position, Charlton will handle all aspects of heating and air conditioning maintenance, installation and repair as a part of the agency’s weatherization program, which upgrades hundreds of homes each year. He will also work on water heaters, heat pumps and other mechanical systems.
“We welcome John to the NECAC team,” Patrick said. “He has the experience to meet the needs of this challenging position.”

Charlton is a 1993 graduate of Bowling Green High School and has an electrical engineering degree from Vatterott College of Quincy, Ill. He has several years of electrical work experience locally.
Charlton and his wife, Carmen, have two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys golf.
