Louisiana candidates' forum is March 15

Candidates for city offices in Louisiana will participate in a forum March 15.

The event will be held at the American Legion on Kelly Lane. It is sponsored by the legion and the Pike County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the forum starts at 6:30 p.m. Louisiana journalist and author Brent Engel will be the moderator.

Uncontested candidates Rodney Dolbeare and Bob Ringhausen will be given up to five minutes each. The forum then will proceed to a question-and-answer session with 1st Ward candidates Tim Jackson and James Davis, 2nd Ward contestants Myles Neff and Robert Jenne, 3rd Ward office seekers Chuck Hoffman and Tim Carter, and mayoral candidates Marvin Brown and Joseph Minor.

Audience members may submit questions from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The election is April 3.
