GRONKOWSKI DROPS IN ON WHITE HOUSE BRIEFING
The New England Patriot's Rob Gronkowski paid a surprise visit to the White House briefing room during Wednesday's televised briefing.
The tight end popped his head into the briefing room and jokingly asked Press Secretary Sean Spicer whether he needed any help, drawing laughs. "I think I got this. But thank you," Spicer responded.
The Super Bowl champions are visiting the White House to accept congratulations from President Donald Trump for another NFL title.
Spicer, a Patriots fan, seemed to appreciate the interruption, saying: "that was cool."

Bill O'Reilly has lost his job at Fox News Channel following reports that five women had been paid millions of dollars to keep quiet about harassment allegations.
21st Century Fox issued a statement Wednesday that "after a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.
He had been scheduled to return from a vacation next Monday. O'Reilly was photographed in Rome shaking Pope Francis' hand on Wednesday.

Attorney Kathleen Kersh of Advocates for Basic Legal Equality says they are "disappointed and outraged" about the Wednesday deportation of Maribel Trujillo Diaz.
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement statement says courts have "uniformly held" that she had no legal basis to remain in the U.S. Immigration officials say she entered the country illegally in 2002.
MAN IMPRISONED FOR 23 YEARS RELEASED
CLEVELAND A man who spent 23 years in an Ohio prison for the killing of his girlfriend has been released after a prosecutor said evidence presented at his trial wasn't valid based on today's forensic science.
Fifty-nine-year-old Evin King was enveloped by joyous family members after a Cleveland judge vacated his conviction Wednesday. King thanked Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County prosecutor Michael O'Malley before leaving the courtroom.
The Ohio Innocence Project has been working to free King since 2009. O'Malley is reviewing evidence with the Innocence Project to determine if the case should be retried.
CALIFORNIA WOMAN ADMITS HATE CRIME IN BACON LEFT AT MOSQUE
DAVIS, Calif. A California woman faces up to six years in prison after admitting that she broke windows and left bacon at a mosque near Sacramento.
The Yolo County District Attorney's Office said 30-year-old Lauren Kirk-Coehlo of Davis pleaded guilty to all charges on Wednesday.
They include two counts of vandalizing the Davis Islamic Center in January and causing more than $400 in damage by destroying six windows and two bicycles.
She also admitted to a hate-crime allegation.
Officials say she put bacon strips on door handles. Muslims are prohibited from eating pork products.
