Hannibal woman awarded scholarship from MACC

Nineteen students were recently awarded a Spring Scholarship from the MACC New Traditions Committee, including Brittany Rice, of Hannibal. Rice, who is obtaining an Associate of Applied Science Early Elementary Education was awarded the Ruth Lawrence Memorial Scholarship presented by Rebecca Myers.


The New Traditions Committee spring scholarship are made up from MACC Institutional, funds from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, individual donations from our New Traditions Advisory committee members and a variety of private donations. The New Traditions goal is the same for all: "to help members of special populations select, enter, and complete career and technical educational training programs."


The New Traditions Scholarship sub-committee looked at each individual scholarship requirements as well as grade point average, class load and other financial need.

HANNIBAL |The Bluff City Theater Annex at 403 Broadway will host a summer camp called “A Breath of Fresh Air” for children ages 6 to 10 in July, with separate sessions for two age divisions. It will begin Monday, July 13, and registration is still available.
