Schedule conflicts for local attorneys should be alleviated with the rescheduling of Hannibal municipal court.

Hannibal municipal judge Fredrich Cruse announced beginning in January 2017, morning court — which had been held on Mondays — will be rescheduled to Wednesdays.

These court sessions are for those who have been served warrants or received a ticket to appear to respond. If someone enters a “not guilty” plea, trials will continue to be held on Thursday afternoons or one Tuesday night per month.

Cruse said several other courts require appearances on Monday mornings. Moving municipal court to Wednesday mornings should remove schedule conflicts for attorneys and persons who appear before the municipal court and other courts.
