The Hannibal Street Department can periodically be found bringing down houses that have reached a condition where they must be demolished.

After tearing down a house on Settles Street last week, city personnel could be found demolishing a house in the 2100 block of Spruce Street this week.

Tom Barton of the Street Department said the latest project could be wrapped up this week, depending on whether another dumpster was needed or not.

Barton reports the Spruce Street house came down without a hitch.

The Street Department might remain in the area to bring down a fire-damaged house on Hope Street.
