On March 8, Boutique1019 will host “And Still I Rise,” an event to support women and raise funds for those battling cancer. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Quincy Medical Group Healthcare Foundation to help patients undergoing cancer treatment.
“And Still I Rise” will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. at Quality Inn and Suites in Quincy. It will begin with a vendor event from 4 to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner, silent auction, and runway fashion show. The fashion show is the highlight of the evening and will feature female cancer survivors and women currently diagnosed with cancer. General admission tickets are $35 for an individual or $300 for a table.
Niki St. Hill, owner of Boutique1019 and event organizer, was inspired to create the event through a personal experience. Her friend passed away from cancer on March 7, 2017, and this event honors her journey and memory. “I have heard so many life stories since starting the boutique, and I wanted a way to empower women, to showcase their beauty and honor my friend. I hope that people leave the event with hearts full and love bursting at the seams.”
Money raised will directly support local patients through their cancer diagnosis and treatment. “We are fortunate to have individuals like Niki in our community who take it upon themselves to do something meaningful and impactful for those around them,” said Sara Reuschel, board president of the QMG Healthcare Foundation. “We look forward to the celebration this evening will provide and the encouragement it will bring to others facing their own battles.”
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online by visiting https://www.facebook.com/boutique1019/. For more information contact Sara Reuschel at 217- 740-1302 or email@example.com.
