The Village of the Blue Rose is asking for your help once again this year. "We know that this is the season of giving and true miracles," said Jackson Bishop, Clarksville Community Chamber Marketing Director. "The Village needs a little help from the community to meet the demands of year end expenses".

A "Christmas Fling" Dinner will be held Dec. 17. The goal is to pack the restaurant Saturday night. It only seats about 40, so this should be an easy task. The Village will be serving a buffet Saturday night with pork loin and fried chicken with all the fixins. Desserts are always fantastic and they also have wine, beer and other beverages.

The Village of the Blue Rose also features an antique store, flea market, a special Christmas room with goodies for sale, as well as, a quaint Bed and Breakfast. Reservations for the "Christmas Fling" Dinner are suggested by calling 573-242-3464. They will be taking reservations for 5, 6, and 7 p.m. Cost will be $15/person.

"This event was such a great success last year and we greatly appreciate your support," said Rose Gronemeyer, Executive Director of the Village of the Blue Rose."We need your support this year, now more than ever."

Village of the Blue Rose is located five miles south of Louisiana or five miles north of Clarksville on Highway 79.

The primary mission of the organization is to provide a nurturing residential environment and challenging employment opportunities.  The means to achieve this is being done by developing a center of hospitality and welcome, where visitors can relax as they enjoy the panoramic view of the majestic Mississippi River, dine in the inviting restaurant and browse in the quaint shops.  The Village of the Blue Rose accepts no government funding and depends solely on the generosity of philanthropy of the community and entrepreneurial efforts of its own business endeavors.
