The event was originally scheduled in April but delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Linda Studer, owner of Mississippi Marketplace, said.
“We are super excited to have all the ladies and girls come out next weekend, and we are going to do special sales and demonstrations such as the e-cloth, a product for sanitizing,” Studer said, along with cleaning demonstrations on Friday, showing how to disinfect without using harsh chemicals.
Also at Mississippi Marketplace, “We will have people handing out samples and will demonstrate a bunch of our kitchen gadgets” at noon and 3 p.m. Saturday, Studer said, and she will offer food samples all three days.
Another free opportunity to learn will be offered by Master Historic Preservationist Bob Yapp, who will teach home maintenance skills needed for old houses at his Belvedere Inn.
From 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Yapp will do a brief version of what he teaches regular classes in two days. “I will walk them through a whole cadre of different things people should know about how to take care of their old houses,” he said. Advance registration is required but it may be done on Friday.
Also on Saturday, a special event is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Native American Trading Co.
