HANNIBAL | With rules about social distancing resulting in cancellation of two regular Tomboy Sawyer contests, the event continued after being scheduled at a new location. The usual bubblegum contest and watermelon seed spitting contest were cancelled.

The contest was in the Mark Twain Boyhood Home garden, where the girls competed in slingshot contests and catching minnows.

They earlier competed in the girls' fence painting nearby on North Main Street, with their score included in the Tomboy Sawyer results.

Rebekah Lovercheck won First Place as Tomboy Sawyer and won the slingshot contest. Jessica Moore won the minnow-catching contest. Additional winners were Sophia Vandiver, second, who earlier took second place in the girls fence painting; and Natalie Vandiver, third.

The contest was sponsored by the Business Women of Missouri.
