Harley rider injured in accident

PALMYRA, MO. | James W. Hill, 77, of Manchester, Iowa, suffered minor injuries in a motorcycle accident at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, in rural Marion County. He went by private vehicle to Hannibal Regional Hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Parol, Hill was riding a 2019 Harley Davidson south on U.S. 61 south of Marion County Road 421 and two miles south of Palmyra, Mo.

Officers said Hill changed lanes on the wet highway and lost control of the bike. He overcorrected and was ejected. He was using a safety device. The Marion County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
