Two injured in three-vehicle rear-end collision

LOUISIANA, Mo. | Two Louisiana, Mo., residents were injured in a three-vehicle rear-end collision at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, in Louisiana.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the vehicles were southbound at 3400 Georgia St. Officers said Marcus R. Jones, 31, of Louisiana, was driving a 2007 Toyota Solara and had stopped to make a left turn.

A 2016 Chevrolet Trax driven by Robin L. Heffner, 63, of Louisiana, also stopped, and was reportedly rear-ended by a 2006 Pontiac Torrent driven by Joyce I. York, 68, of Mexico, Mo., causing the Heffner vehicle to rear-end the Jones vehicle.

Jones' passenger, Tara M. Jones, 32, had minor injuries and went by private vehicle to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Heffner suffered moderate injuries and went by ambulance to Pike County Hospital. Tara Jones and Heffner were not wearing seat belts. York was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
