Pirates rally to get revenge

HANNIBAL – The Hannibal volleyball team got revenge Tuesday night.

Now the Pirates are one victory away from a share of the conference title.

Hannibal rallied after dropping the opening set to beat Kirksville 22-25, 25-12, 25-12 in North Central Missouri Conference play at Korf Gym. The victory handed Kirksville its first conference loss, and Hannibal has only one NCMC loss with one game at hand.

Hannibal plays Marshall Saturday to finish league play, and a victory clinches a share of the title.

Bella Falconer had 12 kills for Hannibal, while Emma Deien and Abby Baumann had six kills apiece. Peyton Utterback had five kills.

Kaylee Falconer dished out 21 assists along with four kills.
