Obituary: Nancy Lucille Redman Yates, 68, of Monroe City

Lucille Redman Yates, 68, of Monroe City, passed away at 12:23 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Monroe City. Father Greg Oligschlaeger will officiate.

Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Monroe City.

Friends and family are invited to Nancy's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at James O'Donnell Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, with a Parish Rosary service beginning at 3:45 p.m.. A Parish Scripture service will be held following the visitation at 7 p.m. by Deacon Mike Long. The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Life Celebration Home in Monroe City.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary School, Monroe City.

Palmyra holds on to defeat Centralia, advancing to district finals
PALMYRA, Mo. | The Palmyra boys basketball team will get another shot at Monroe City after winning the district semifinal game against Centralia on Thursday night.
Centralia gave everything they had and had an opportunity to tie it up, but senior guard Guy Moran's 3-point attempt hit the rim and bounced out. Palmyra junior guard Aaron Stamper was fouled after grabbing the rebound and drained to free throws to secure a 53-48 victory.
