Eight Hannibal High School Choir students received top All State honors in November.

Eight HHS Choir students received top All State honors in November. Through a rigorous audition process, juniors and seniors are able to audition for the Northeast Missouri District Choir. After being selected to the District Choir, students may then audition for the Missouri All State Choir. Out of approximately 150 students from the district that audition, 16 are chosen for the choir, and eight are selected as alternates in case someone can't fill their obligation. Elizabeth Gilbert, Julie Colborn, Liliana Erskine, Cortez Emerson, and Briar Douglas were selected as members of the choir. Emerson and Douglas were selected for the second year. Abbey Laws, Richy Rodgers and Paige Bishop were chosen as alternates. The five selected members will travel to the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference in January to rehearse and perform with the All State Choir. Eight is the highest number ever selected from HHS in one year.
