Norma Ann Virden, 72, of Spencerburg, Mo., passed away at 5:27 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015.

Graveside services and burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Spencerburg Cemetery in Spencerburg, Mo. Pastor Jim Miller will officiate.

The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Virden was born May 3, 1943, in Spencerburg, Mo., to Moses and Cleonia Calvin Jennings.

She was married to Donald E. Virden on Oct. 25, 1960, in Pike County, Mo. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 2015.

Survivors include three children, Tawnya Spegal (Ronnie) of Frankford, Mo., Shannon Virden (Dixie Terry) of Bowling Green, Mo. and Steven Virden of Curryville, Mo.; one brother, Clarence Jennings (Eva) of Frankford, Mo.; and three sisters, Betty Frieden of Columbia, Mo., Macell Miller of Kirksville, Mo. and Mildred Willis (Guy) of Spencerburg, Mo. She is also survived by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Donald E. Virden, Jr., Richard Virden, Sr. and Theresa Stout; one grandchild, Brandon Stout; two brothers, Lafe “Bud” Jennings and Luther Jennings; and two sisters, Anna Faye Myers and Geraldine Mosley.

Mrs. Virden was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her flowers. Most of all, Norma loved spending time with her family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Norma Virden Memorial Fund, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brent Tischer, Nick Tischer, Tyler Virden, Rick Virden, Dalton Burnett and Corey Epley.
