Anna “Annie” Marie Bailey, 87, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at her home.

Anna “Annie” Marie Bailey, 87, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at her home.

A life celebration for Annie will be held at a later date.

Private burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Hannibal, Mo.

The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Annie was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Hannibal, Mo., to Edward G. and Anna Marie Sommers Bailey.

Survivors include one brother, William Bailey (Shirley) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Dolores Bailey of Atlanta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. 

She is also survived by her special friends, Andrea Shrum, Jan Glascock, Father Beebe and Sister Margaret of Peoria, Ill.; and Bob and Martie Novak of Aurora, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harry Bailey, Carl Bailey and Edward Bailey; one sister, Gertrude Howe; one brother-in-law, Jack Howe; one niece, Karen Howe; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Bailey.

Annie was a retired bookkeeper. She had previously worked at both Walkup's Pharmacy and The Hickory Stick. She loved her family and enjoyed the time they shared together. Annie also enjoyed being active in her younger years, swimming, ice skating and playing volleyball. She was a Catholic by faith and attended Holy Family Catholic Church.
