John D. Jennings, 50, and his wife, Debra G. Jennings, 51, of Shelbina, Mo., were flown to the University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries suffered in a motorcycle collision at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, in Randolph County, Mo.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported John Jennings was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson and Daniel M. Howard was riding a 2000 Harley Davidson west on Route JJ one-fourth mile east of Huntsville.

Officers said Howard slowed for congested traffic ahead. Jennings applied his brakes and began to skid on the roadway. His motorcycle overturned and continued, sliding into the rear of the Howard motorcycle, ejecting Jennings and his wife.

The Howard motorcycle overturned and went off the right side of he road, ejecting Howard.

Howard did not report injuries. All three riders were using safety devices.

The state patrol was assisted at the scene by the Randolph County Sheriff's Department.
