Two Hannibal residents were injured in a Thursday night traffic accident in Ralls County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 10 p.m. on U.S. 61, 0.4 of a mile north of New London.

A 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle was being driven north by 71-year-old Raymond F. Foubester of Hannibal. Foubester reportedly lost control of the motorcycle as he slowed for a vehicle in front of him. The motorcycle then traveled off the left side of the road.

Foubester and a passenger, 57-year-old Cynthia G. Hummer of Hannibal sustained moderate injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
