An evidence hearing is Wednesday, Oct. 21 for a man accused of fleeing a Pike County deputy and trying to ram his squad car.

Twenty-four-year-old Luke Sherman is charged with felony assault of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. Sherman is accused of fleeing after a deputy tried to pull him over for speeding the night of June 24 on Highway 79 just north of Clarksville.

The deputy reported the car tried to ram his vehicle before driving away. A tip to officers led to Sherman’s arrest June 25.
