Kathryn "Katie" Louise Jacobs Noel, 84, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 8:57 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Kathryn "Katie" Louise Jacobs Noel, 84, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 8:57 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in  Hannibal.

Friends and family are invited to Kathryn's Life Celebration at a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Noel was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Humphreys, Mo., to Walter Earl and Inez Opal Bailey Jacobs.

She was married to Charles L. "Charlie" Noel on Aug. 27, 1949, in Hannibal, Mo. He survives.

Other survivors include five children, Linda Jawort (Tex), Charlotte Middleton (Gerald), Mike Noel (Jennifer), Kathy Bergeson (Jim) and Jeff Noel (Christina);11 grandchildren, John Berlin (Lisa), Brandy Gustafson (Rob), Echoe Crawford (Shaun), Cameo Hoeme (Matt), Damon Noel (Shelly), Lindy Noel, Meghan Rothweiler (Jim), Emily Royal (Dustin), Nicholas Wagner, Charlie O. Noel and Joanna Noel. 

She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert Earl Jacobs and Melvin Leon Jacobs.

Mrs. Noel was a graduate of the Class of 1948 at Hannibal High School. Kathryn stayed in touch with classmates and enjoyed going to dinner with them and doing other activities. She worked as a librarian in the 1960s at Eugene Field School. She was the co-owner of C & K Tire and Auto in Taylorville, Ill., from 1981 to 1993. After returning to Hannibal, Kathryn worked as a caregiver in several group homes for Marion County Services for the Developmentally Disabled. Mrs. Noel enjoyed reading, dancing, quilting, gardening and crocheting. She also loved spending time with her family and having family dinners. She baby sat for many area families over the years. Kathryn was a past president of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was in the Homebuilders Sunday School Class.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association or the Easter Seals, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jim Rothweiler, Dustin Royal, John Berlin, Jared Berlin, Damon Noel and Nicholas Wagner.
