At 5:19 p.m. Hannibal Rural Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the report of a combine on fire on County Road 425 (Airport Road) near County Road 424.

At 5:19 p.m. Hannibal Rural Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the report of a combine on fire on County Road 425 (Airport Road) near County Road 424.

Firefighters arrived and provided assistance to the farm crew that had partially extinguished the fire with multiple fire extinguishers. The fire department provided additional water to cool and wash smoldering debris from the inside areas of the combine.

The fire department was on scene for about one hour. There were no injuries reported. Damage to the John Deere S680 combine owned by William Goldinger was confined to the wiring. The exact cause of the fire was not determined.
