Hannibal Board of Public Works personnel could be found doing an assortment of tasks this week during Public Utilities Week.
On Thursday, BPW volunteers, clad in pink T-shirts, were assisting the Hannibal Stream Team as part of the BPW’s Give Back Work Day. A team of workers, some wearing waders, were cleaning debris out of Bear Creek.
Other members of the BPW were busy Thursday picking up trash from along Main Street and Broadway. Teams of workers were also cleaning ponds, basins and cutting trees.
Earlier in the week BPW performed tasks for the Hannibal public school district. Wednesday the BPW hosted its annual Family Fun Night at the Coontz Rec Center.
