The first Hands Around the Capitol Event draws a large turnout, as participants join hands around the Capitol building Tuesday, Oct. 6. "It was a successful day with many impactful speakers. It was great to see such an excellent turnout in support of Disability Employment Awareness Month and to celebrate 25 years with the ADA. We recognize the disability community has come a great way over the past couple decades, but there is definitely much more work to do to make our communities inclusive, barrier-free, and diverse," Northeast Independent Living Services Executive Director Brooke Kendrick said.
