Right fielder Ryan Snyder has a big night for the Hannibal Cavemen Tuesday, brining home three runs in a 5-3 win over Springfield.

Snyder belted a single in the bottom of the first inning to score Justin Blechle and Seth Soto, tying the score at two apiece.

Snyder, a junior from Quincy University, got another RBI in the third inning, singling in Blechle again.

In the bottom of the fif, with the score tied at three, Emilio Lollio’s sac fly brought the go-ahead run to the plate.

The Cavemen tacked on another run in the seventh thanks to another sac fly, this time by Soto.

Hannibal starter Jake Eikleberry pitched five inning, allowing 10 hits and three earned runs with three strikeouts. Brandon Kleekamp came on in relief and added four innings of shutout baseball, striking out four.

The Cavemen improved to 7-17 on the season while the Sliders move to 12-16. there were some concerns heading into Tuesday’s game about the condition at Clemens Field, which took on some water due to recent rains. Facility employees made sure the field was playable Tuesday night.
