It made me feel proud of our police department and Chief (Lyndell) Davis when I read the article in your June 11 edition. The article related to Chief Davis’ leadership and police officers interacting with youngsters. I want my grandchildren to love, respect and obey police officers.
I know this must be instilled and taught at a young age.
Police across America have been taking an unfair hit. It would be a different America if all youth experienced the program Chief Davis and his officers have implemented.
If the people in Ferguson had been taught to love, respect, and obey the police the community would not have experienced millions of dollars of damage and loss of lives.
