Three people were left with moderate injuries following a two-vehicle mishap Wednesday in Shelby County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 3:50 p.m. on Highway 151 at Hazel Street in Clarence.

A 2005 Ford 500, operated by Deja C. Teter, 18, of Clarence, reportedly failed to yield and pulled into the patch of a 2000 Toyota Corolla driven by 29-year-old Candace L. Beasley of Anabel. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the collision.

Also injured was a passenger in the Toyota, 38-year-old Billy J. Beasley of Anabel, who also was wearing a safety device.

All the injured were taken by ambulance to Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon.
