Summer is officially here, so why not celebrate with some great music, great drinks and great company at Fiesta Del Sol?

Presented by the Rotary Club of Hannibal, this now-annual festival showcases the best of what the Northeast Missouri community has to offer.

For the brewmaster in your home, get to the festival by noon June 27 to taste some of the best homebrews in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa at the Hannibal Home Brew Competition. Tasters at the competition will receive two tickets to vote for their favorite brews — featuring styles from around the world.  Mike Barrow, brewer for Sierra Nevada, will help judge the competition with other local guests.

Want to know more about the craft beer industry? Barrow will field questions about the process at 2 p.m.
Along with a variety of craft beers available for tasting and purchase, several musicians will take to the stage, bringing sounds of summer to the event.

Mike Moore, a local favorite, will open at noon. He covers anything from The Beatles to George Strait and most things in between.

Following Moore, the Bolzen Beer Band will bring the sounds of Bavaria to Northeast Missouri. Based in Nebraska, the band blends, of all things, punk rock and polka to create a unique sound.
Mercer and Johnson hit the stage at 4 p.m. Using traditional string instruments, the group creates modern indie rock sounds fit for an alternative festival.

Buffalo Wabs & The Price brings their Americana/Folk band sounds at 5:30 p.m. and The Flood Brothers round out the musical line up at 7 p.m.

Funds raised at the event will help support the various imssions of the Rotary Club. Each year, the club donates around $15,000 to local charities and groups in and around Hannibal.
