As we celebrate National Homeownership Month, this June, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our partners in making our housing programs a success.

As we celebrate National Homeownership Month, this June, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our partners in making our housing programs a success. Homeownership has long been recognized as a key component of the American Dream and provides social as well as economic benefits to our society. It strengthens our economy, builds communities and, to the individual family, represents a powerful tool for building economic stability and self-esteem. In short, owning a home gives people a reason to care about what goes on around them. It gives them a stake in where they live.

By offering our purchase and repair programs, we are able to assist individuals and families that may not have the ability to obtain conventional financing. Rural Development offers 100% financing to purchase a home through our Direct and Guaranteed loan programs. In addition, we offer a repair loan and grant program to assist existing homeowners with necessary repairs.

So to all of our partners (realtors, lenders; community action agencies, closing agents; newspapers and developers) we extend a heartfelt thank you for all the hard work and dedication you have done to assist our clients.

Thank you and let’s continue to display partnerships like this year’s homeownership theme, “Let’s Build a Better Future Together.”
