Donald Richard Armour, 84, of Center, Mo. and formerly of rural New London, Mo., passed away at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Westview Nursing Home in Center, Mo.

Donald Richard Armour, 84, of Center, Mo. and formerly of rural New London, Mo., passed away at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Westview Nursing Home in Center, Mo.     

Memorial services with full military rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at 2 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home. Rev. Dewayne Larenson will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo. 

Mr. Armour was born April 21, 1931, in Ilasco, Mo., to Phillip D. and Bernice Loretta Haynes Armour.

He was married to Edna L. Reid Armour on May 11, 1968, in Nashville, Tenn. She preceded him in death May 20, 2015.

Survivors include two children, Myra Lynn Trihey (James) and Richard Dean Armour (Betty); one sister, Penny Larenson (Dewayne) of Philadelphia, Mo.; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Kenneth Armour and Ogden Eugene Armour; and one sister, Thelma Elder.

Mr. Armour was a United States Army Veteran. He served his country during the Korean Conflict. Donald previously worked as a contractor, and in his retirement he worked as a janitor for Stowell School in Hannibal. He loved gardening and trees. Donald enjoyed going to auctions and making wine. He was a Christian by faith.
