On Sunday, June 21, MoDOT closed all lanes of U.S. 61 just north of Troy are likely to be closed Sunday or Monday due to high water in Cuivre River. Also, state Highway 79 may not be an alternate route, due to flash flooding.
After being closed due to high water, all four lanes on U.S. 61 at the Cuivre River Bridge one mile north of Troy in Lincoln County are now open.
Compared to the flooding last Friday and Saturday, the water receded slower during this flooding. Engineers checked the bridge piers to ensure no damage occurred that would create a potential safety hazard.
