Joe Billings, 78, of Paris, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Paris.
Mr. Billings was born on Nov. 10, 1934, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of George and Myrle Howard Billings. He married Dorothy Faye Williamson on Dec. 31, 1963, in Hannibal, Missouri. She survives at home.
Other survivors include four children: Anita Lafferty of Centralia, Rita Jo (Tony) Willingham of Madison, Joey (Dana) Billings of Paris, and Susie (Ron) Reynolds of Paris; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six sisters, Gwenda Wilson, Lois Barnard, Janice Carey, Janet Epperson, Judy Billings and Annie Foutes, all of Hannibal, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry Comstock, one sister, three brothers, one son-in-law, Butch Lafferty, and one brother-in-law.
He was employed by Paris Manufacturing and then went to work for the City of Paris, where he retired after 23 years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at Agnew Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Grimmett officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
