Just the other day I heard on NPR about discovery of old suitcases of in the attic of the Willard Psychiatric Center in Willard, N.Y. These cases belonged to the patients of Willard between 1910 and the 1960s. The personal effects were beautifully arranged and documented by photographer Jon Crispin. The effects documented very from brushes, clothing, crafts and even some personal diaries. Though these photos are not in a book from what I can tell, I personally think one could be written either on the life of the patients or just a collection of some of these photos.
