The Missouri Department of Transportation and contractor Bross Construction will resurface five disconnected sections of both north and south bound lanes on U.S. 61 between Eolia and Bowling Green beginning this week. The contractor will be setting up signs in preparation for the road work this week, with concrete pavement repairs to begin next week, weather permitting. Asphalt resurfacing work will follow later this summer.
The road will be down to one lane in the work zone with a 45 mph speed limit. The contractor expects to work 10 hours days. The work begins just south of Route UU near Bowling Green and continues in disconnected sections to north of Route OO near Eolia.
