Thomas P. Yager, 65, of Monroe City, Mo., died at 7:54 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.


Thomas P. Yager, 65, of Monroe City, Mo., died at 7:54 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 1, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Monroe City, Mo. Father Don Antweiler and Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial with full military rites will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Monroe City, Mo.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Yager was born May 19, 1944, in Hannibal, Mo., to John B. and Mary Margaret Adam Yager.
He was married to Sheila Witt on Aug. 24, 1973, in Monroe City, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Lisa Weisenborn of Monroe City, Mo.; five brothers and five sisters, Anna Mary Hughes (Charlie), Bob Yager (Cele), Glen Yager (Carol), Dorothy Shivley (Rich), Regina Bowling (John), Betty Butkievich, Joe Yager (Ann), Sue Ellersieck, Don Yager (Joni), and Mark Yager; three grandchildren, Heather, D.J. and Dylan Weisenborn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Yager was a U.S. Navy veteran. He served on the USS Plymouth Rock during Vietnam. He worked as a die caster at Diemakers and Intermet. He also previously worked at Quincy Soybean and Electric Wheel. Tom enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He also liked fishing, hunting and golfing. Mr. Yager was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Holy Rosary School in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be D.J. Weisenborn, Travis Pugh, Christian Berry, Robert Pfanner, Spencer Rickard and Lincoln Rickard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Weisenborn and Heather Weisenborn.
