Hannibal police arrested a Palmyra man after being called to a traffic crash at South Main and Fulton at 5 a.m. Sunday.


   Hannibal police arrested a Palmyra man after being called to a traffic crash at South Main and Fulton at 5 a.m. Sunday.

   Arriving officers found flames coming from the car. Firefighters were called in. No one was located in the care, but officers searching the area found a duffle bag that contained items consistent with the manufacture of meth.

   Police said that a short time later, a man who was wearing no shoes and was wet and appeared to be drunk approached the scene and began talking to workers.

   Arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance was 28-year-old Joshua Hedgpeth. There were no injuries.
