Mrs. Linnie Esther Frost, age 88, of Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Bristol Manor in Palmyra.




Mrs. Linnie Esther Frost, age 88, of Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Bristol Manor in Palmyra. Linnie was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Hannibal, Mo., to Ira Eby and Della Elizabeth Gibbons Buckwalter. Linnie married Warren Frost June 22, 1942, in Hannibal, Mo. He preceded her in death July 30, 2009.     

Survivors include one son, Charles Frost and wife Claudia of Hannibal; sisters, Mary Hansbrough and husband Don of Palmyra, and Martha Sargent and husband Bill of Palmyra; grandchildren, Jared Frost of Palmyra, Stacy Potterfield and husband Joe of Shelbina, Mo., Charlie Frost and wife Jennifer of Florida, and Jeffrey Frost and wife Alicia of Amsterdam, Mo.; brother-in-law, Max Frost and wife Florence of Palmyra; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bird of Palmyra, and Roberta Begley of Palmyra; great grandchildren, Zachary, Sabrina, Jeff Jr., Tyler, Bailey and Bracey.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Terry W. Frost; brothers, Jacob, Harry, Cleland, Landis, Dan, Elvin, Earl and Norman Buckwalter; and sisters, Della Spratt, Ruth Wagner and Margaret Hallgren.

Mrs. Frost was a homemaker. She had farmed with her husband Warren in Marion County for many years. She was a member of the Philadelphia Christian Church. Linnie enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, fishing and especially spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. The Rev. Bill Walton will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra,  Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.     

Casket bearers will be Charles Frost, Jeffrey Frost, Jared Frost, Wes Begley, Roger Begley, Joe Potterfield, Ronnie Buckwalter and Mike Buckwalter
