The Hannibal Kiwanis Club will host its annual Pancake Day from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 3, at the Hannibal High School cafeteria, 4500 McMaster’s Ave.


The Hannibal Kiwanis Club will host its annual Pancake Day from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 3, at the Hannibal High School cafeteria, 4500 McMaster’s Ave.
Pancake Day has been a long-standing tradition for the Hannibal Kiwanis Club, and is one of their three fundraising events during the year. Participants can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausages for $5 per person. Children under 6 eat free. All of the proceeds will go to community service projects sponsored by Hannibal Kiwanis. 
Dr. Kent Wolber is  chairperson of the Hannibal Evening Kiwanis Pancake Day Committee. To purchase advance tickets, contact any Hannibal Kiwanis member, or purchase tickets the day of the event.

Kiwanis is a not-for-profit, international service organization dedicated to one mission: “Serving the Children of the World.”  The Hannibal Kiwanis Club provides funding and assistance for a variety of programs that benefit young people in the Hannibal area, such as shoes and coats for disadvantaged school children, Christmas shopping, book projects, Get Well Teddy Bears, college scholarships and more.  Hannibal Kiwanis also provides financial support to the Salvation Army, Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch, the Boy and Girl Scouts, H.I.S.K.I.D.S., CHART Teen Task Force and other local, not-for-profit organizations that provide services to area youth. 

 

Hannibal Kiwanis Club holds three fundraising events each year: Pancake Day, the Arts & Crafts Festival and the “Mustang, Mule or Cash” Raffle.  Now is a great time to purchase your raffle tickets!  Tickets are available for $20 each or 3 for $50 from any Hannibal Evening Kiwanis member.  A maximum of 2500 entries will be accepted.  A 50/50 drawing will be held if less than 1500 entries are received.  There is a $100 drawing the first Monday of each month, January – June, with drawings for $300 at noon and 2:00pm on July 4th, 2010.  All winners will remain eligible for the Grand Prize drawing to be held at 4:00pm on July 4th, 2010 in Hannibal’s Central Park.  The winner receives his or her choice of a new Ford Mustang, a Kawasaki Mule or $15,000 in cash.  The “Mustang, Mule or Cash” Raffle is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal, in cooperation with Tom Boland Ford, Inc. and Grand View Nursery.  All net proceeds benefit area youth.
