A Vandalia husband and wife wanted for questioning in an Illinois murder surrendered to authorities Thursday night.
Fifty-one-year-old Myra L. Osborne was arrested for unlawful use of a credit card and receiving the debit card of another person. Her husband, 48-year-old Ricky J. Osborne, was wanted on an unrelated Illinois warrant for failure to appear on a bad check charge.
Authorities want to know if there is a connection between the Osbornes and the death of 72-year-old Carol Andrews of Roodhouse, Ill. She was found dead of asphyxiation in her home at 10 p.m. March 19.
Myra Osborne allegedly used Andrews’ debit card at a Roodhouse business the night of March 18.
Authorities said the Osbornes lived in Roodhouse until about a year ago, when they moved to Vandalia. The couple was being held at the Morgan County Jail in Jacksonville pending court appearances.
