Martin I. Short, 64, of Shelbina, went by ambulance to Samaritan Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries suffered in a one-car crash at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, on U.S. 36 a mile east of Clarence in Shelby County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Macon, Short was driving a 2002 Chevrolet east, when he attempted to pass another vehicle.
He lost control of the car in the westbound lane, due to snow on the road. The car went off the right side of the highway and overturned.
