Carolyn Sue (Potterfield) Bremmer and Emmett G. (Bud) Bremmer of Palmyra, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 31, 2009.


Carolyn Sue (Potterfield) Bremmer and Emmett G. (Bud) Bremmer of Palmyra, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 31, 2009.
The couple was united in marriage on Dec. 31, 1959, at First Assembly of God Church, Palmyra. Rev. James Brown officiated. The couple’s children will be hosting a celebration at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 2, 2010, with a cake reception at 7 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Fellowship Hall in Palmyra. Friends and family are invited. No gifts, please.
The couple’s attendants were the late Gerald Begley Jr., cousin of the groom, and the late Mary Potterfield Schaller, sister of the bride.
Carolyn is the daughter of Dorothy Johnston Potterfield and the late Henry Potterfield.
Emmett is the son of the late Emmett G. and Mabel Begley Bremmer Sr.
The couple’s children are Wendy Jo Nelson and Kurt Quentin Bremmer, Palmyra. They have three grandchildren, Brandy (Kyle) Schneider, Amy Nelson and Chris Bremmer.
Emmett is semi-retired from Bremmer Plumbing & Heating. Carolyn is currently employed as the secretary for the First Assembly of God.
The couple volunteers at Maple Lawn Nursing Home and the Palmyra Food Bank, and they are also active with their church.
