Hannibal-LaGrange College’s annual homecoming will be Nov. 6 and 7.  The college plans to celebrate the event with the theme of “Traditions: Connecting One Generation to Another.”


Hannibal-LaGrange College’s annual homecoming will be Nov. 6 and 7.  The college plans to celebrate the event with the theme of “Traditions: Connecting One Generation to Another.”
The annual HLG Alumni Golf Classic at Norwoods Golf Club will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6. The $35 fee includes cart and greens fee. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  there will be campus tours given for those who would like to see how the campus has changed over the years. An alumni art exhibit featuring Robert Payne (’67) will be on display in Hagerman Art Gallery with an opening reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The President’s Reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Roland Fine Arts Center. 
At 7 p.m. the Alumni and Student Homecoming Banquet will take place in the Mabee Sports Complex, tickets are $25. During the banquet, the athletic teams will be recognized and the coronation ceremony will be held for the Homecoming King and Queen. Special guests Bean & Bailey will be the entertainment for the evening.
There are many activities planned for Saturday, Nov. 7, beginning with the annual Trojan Turkey Trek from 8:30 a.m. to  10:30 a.m. beginning at the Mabee Sports Complex.  This will be a 5K Run/Walk followed by a one-half-mile fun run for the kids.  All participants will receive a medal and a T-shirt along with individual prizes. From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. there will be an Alumni Brunch/Juice ‘n Jazz in the HLG Page Dining Room in the Partee Center, cost is $10. Presentation of the annual Alumni Awards will be at this time. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. there will be a dedication ceremony for Professor Rooms.
The basketball festivities begin at 2 p.m. with the HLG Lady Trojan Junior Varsity facing Missouri Valley Junior Varsity. At 4 p.m., the Lady Trojans will take on Missouri Valley as well. The men’s game will begin at 7 p.m. against Graceland University. Special half-time activities include introductions of the Homecoming Queen, King, and candidates, as well as a performance by the HLG Cheerleaders.
