The Missouri Department of Transportation reduced traffic on U.S. 61 to one lane Friday morning because of high water in Lincoln County.
According to MoDOT, its crews took the action at approximately 10:30 a.m. on southbound U.S. 61, just north of Troy, at the Cuivre River Bridge.
Crews will be working in the southbound passing lane to clear debris from under the southbound bridge. The work is expected to take most of the day and all lanes of traffic should be open by 4 p.m. this afternoon. Motorists are urged to use extra caution while traveling through the work zone and obey all posted work zone speed limits.
