Jennifer Halpin and Sean Parks were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 9 at Holy Family Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn officiated with performance of the marriage vows and blessings.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Joni Halpin of Hannibal, and granddaughter of Dale Halpin of Hannibal. The groom is the son of Mark and Denise Parks of Arenzville, Ill., grandson of Dorothy Menge of Jacksonville, Ill., and Jerry and Karen Drummond of Fort Madison, Iowa.
The Maid of Honor was Sarah Naji, friend of the bride, of Columbia, Mo., and the best man was Chris Puder, friend of the groom, of Littleton, Colo. Also attending the bride were Lauren Hulse and Nikki Raithel, friends of the bride, and Nicole McAllister and Kristy Hicks, cousins of the bride. Also attending the groom were Anna Rasmussen, Joe Heiderscheit, Jeff Carls, and Mason Einspahr, friends of the groom.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The ushers were the bride’s brothers, Brandon and Jared Halpin. The flower girl was Abby Carie, the groom’s niece. The music was provided by pianist, Mrs. Chris Ledbetter, and the vocalist, Patrick Hedges. Scripture readers were Julie Halpin, aunt of the bride, and Diana Robinson, aunt of the groom. Prayers written by the bride and groom were read by Kelsee Halpin, sister-in-law of the bride, and Cody Julian, brother-in-law of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Fiddlestiks restaurant in Hannibal and was hosted by Mark and Denise Parks. The reception was held at the Hannibal Country Club and was hosted by Stephen and Joni Halpin.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Hannibal High School and 2012 graduate of Truman State University with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. She completed a Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the Forrest Institute in Professional Psychology, and this year earned her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from William James College in Boston, Mass. She currently works as a therapist in Newark, Ohio.
The groom is a 2008 graduate of Triopia Jr. Sr. High School and a 2012 graduate of Truman State University with a Bachelor’s degree in political science. In 2014, he completed a Master’s degree in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, Calif. He works as an Anti-Money Laundering Investigator with Discover Financial Services in the Financial Intelligence Unit in New Albany, Ohio.
After honeymooning in Florence and Rome, Italy, Mr. Sean Parks and Dr. Jennifer Parks are back at home in New Albany, Ohio.
