Janes-50th

Larry and Earnestene Janes of Hannibal are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Earnestene's parents are the late Earnest Garrett and Esther Pearl Garrett.

Larry's parents are the late Frank and Martha Janes.

The couple was married at 2 p.m. Oct. 29, 1966, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph T. Bugler officiated.

The bride's twin sister, Mrs. Claudene Garrett (Calhoon) was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Donna Garrett (Ross) and Eva Kay Garrett (Smoot), sisters of the bride, and Linda Lambert, friend of the bride.

Tani Diane, Calhoon, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Bill Ottman served his brother as best man, and groomsmen were Robert Janes, brother of the groom, Jerry Janes, a cousin, and Otto Baily. Pat Janes, brother of the groom, and Kenny Wilson served as ushers. Danny Janes, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

They are proud parents of Darren, Kara and Bryan Janes. They have six grandchildren.

Larry and Earnestene enjoy retirement and being with family.
