Robert C. Reidmeyer of Hunnewell, Mo, and Nellie R. Hall of La Plata, Mo., were married Aug. 12, 1951, at First Methodist Church in Kirksville, Mo.
Their attendant were Lee Hall and Shirley Hall, brother and sister of the bride.
After a short honeymoon in the Ozarks, Bob went back to college, and Nell went back to teaching school at Stahl, a country school in Adair County.
In March of 1952, Bob joined the U.S. Air Force. He received his basic training at Lackland AFB in Texas. He was transferred to Mountain Home AFB for five months, where Nell joined him. In September of 1952, Bob was transferred to Andrews AFB for the duration of his enlistment of four years.
The Reidmeyers have three children, Mark and Mary Reidmeyer, Carole (Dan) Martin and Phyllis (Mike) Painting.
They have seven grandchildren, Lis Reidmeyer (Sam) Rothove, Andrew and (Kathryn) Reidmeyer, Cara Martin Copple, Matt Martin, Melanie Painting (Robert) Scott, Erica Painting and Justin Painting. Their great-grandchildren are Madison Bowersock, Joselynne Scott, Brayden Scott, Emma Scott, Virginia Copple and Robert Copple.
