St. John's Lutheran Church to hold annual Bazaar and Soup Dinner

HANNIBAL — St. John's Lutheran Church will serve soup, sandwiches and other treats during their annual Bazaar and Soup Dinner, beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 in the St. John's Lutheran School gymnasium.

The annual event will begin with a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring crafts, produce and baked goods. Dinner with chili or chicken noodle soup, a dessert and drink will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sandwiches will also be available. Raffles will take place for a handmade quilt and a handmade wooden bench.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Uncertainty lingers over spring prep sports season
In a normal year, we would be talking about track meets, baseball games, soccer matches and golf duals right now.
Instead, the spring sports season is delayed for an undetermined amount of time while the world deals with the coronavirus pandemic. The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) has not given an update on when the season will resume, other than they are not planning on canceling any spring sports championships.
