Lynne K. Charlton Scranton, 71, of Hannibal, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., June 10, 2020, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Friends and family are invited to Lynne's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Lynne was born March 30, 1949, in Hannibal, to Billy E. Charlton and Emma Jean Sanderson Charlton.

She was married to Rex G. Scranton on August 30, 2003. He preceded her in death in on April 13, 2004.

Survivors include three children, Emily Inman (Jesse Shockley) of Hannibal, Stephen P. Inman (Chanel Miller) of Hannibal, Richard "Richie" White (Billy Jo) of Hannibal; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several step grandchildren. She also is survived by her best friend, Helen Brinkley.

Lynne is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Ray Inman, Jr. 

Professionally Lynne worked for the Hannibal Police Department for more than 23 years as a secretary.

Away from work Lynne loved to play bingo and enjoyed reading. She always enjoyed spending time with friends listening to music at “Music Under the Stars” during the summer months in Hannibal. Crocheting, reading her Bible and enjoying time with family were some of Lynne’s favorites.

Lynne was a Christian by faith.
