HANNIBAL | Harvest Outreach Ministries and Be The Change For Your Community are planning an online auction from October 26 to November 8, and they are seeking donated items to raise funds to meet a $10,000 matching grant from the Riedel Foundation.

The auction is in the planning stages and Be The Change For Your Community Founder and Non-Profit Consultant Amy Vaughn said there are various items people can contribute to make the event a success. The Riedel Foundation will contribute a $10,000 matching grant.

Harvest Outreach Ministries provides services like the Harvest House for men and women facing legal, financial or addiction issues, Loaves and Fishes free meals and food distribution through the Feed America program.

Vaughn suggested donations like gift certificates for local businesses, a themed gift basket from a Sunday School or local civic organization, items of value that are taking up space at home or a free stay at a timeshare.

Vaughn asked people to email her as soon as possible at amy@bethechangeforyourcommunity.com so she can compile the items “pledged” by October 1. Pick-up will be coordinated during the month of October.
