Hannibal Regional Auxiliary to host travel presentation for New York City Holiday, Canyon Country trips

HANNIBAL | Hannibal Regional Auxiliary is hosting a travel presentation spotlighting two upcoming travel opportunities with the longest-standing U.S. tour operator, Collette Vacations.

Interested travelers can learn more about traveling to the New York City Holiday and Canyon Country by attending a free, informational presentation from Lora Carlson, a local Collette representative, at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in the Hannibal Regional Conference Center, which is located just inside the main entrance of Hannibal Regional Medical Group.

The New York City Holiday trip departs Monday, Dec. 7 for five days and includes five meals. Participants will get to experience “the Big Apple” alive with the holiday spirit on the tour. From Rockefeller Center to Greenwich Village, New York City shines even brighter during the holiday season.

Attractions include:

  • Spend four nights in the heart of Midtown, close to Central Park's skating rink and Times Square all dressed up for the holidays 

  • Take a seat and watch the curtain rise for an exciting Broadway show

  • Attend the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, featuring the world famous Rockettes

  • Ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

  • See the Empire State Building and Central Park

  • Visit the poignant 9/11 Museum and Memorial

  • Enjoy plenty of free time to shop, see the elaborate Fifth Avenue holiday window displays and stop by the spectacular Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.

The Canyon Country trip departs Wednesday, Oct. 7 for eight days and includes 10 meals. A journey through Canyon Country brings visitors into a colorful world of stunning southwestern vistas and the unique topography of three national parks: Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon.

Attractions include:

  • Take time to shop in Sedona's marketplace and travel through Kaibab National Forest

  • Spend a night at the South Rim of the magnificent Grand Canyon

  • Luxuriate at the Lake Powell Resort for two nights

  • Personalize your Arizona travel by choosing to either take in the stark beauty of Monument Valley on a narrated ride or take a cruise through the canyons for a different perspective of the spectacular scenery

  • The scenic trip concludes with the neon-lit spectacle of Las Vegas, Nev.
